DCP (Traffic) Prateek Gehlot said a special enforcement drive would be conducted over the next 15 days in view of the Kanwar Yatra, during which the entry of two-wheelers and three-wheelers on both carriageways of NH-48, the Dwarka Expressway, KMP Expressway and the Mumbai Expressway will be prohibited.

The DCP announced the measures while issuing necessary directions during a meeting with traffic officers and personnel on Wednesday to ensure smooth traffic management during the upcoming Kanwar Yatra.

During the meeting, traffic personnel were directed to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic on designated Kanwar routes and provide immediate medical assistance whenever required.

He further instructed that all Kanwar camps should be set up only at designated locations on the left side of the road. Vehicles belonging to Kanwar pilgrims should not be parked on main roads or highways so that traffic movement is not disrupted. It was also directed that if any vehicles are found parked on the roadway, appropriate legal action should be taken against them as per the rules.

DCP Gehlot further informed that a special enforcement drive would remain in force for the next 15 days. Under the campaign, the ban on the entry of two-wheelers and three-wheelers on both carriageways of NH-48, the Dwarka Expressway, KMP Expressway and the Mumbai Expressway, from Kherki Daula Toll Plaza to the Sirhaul border, will be strictly enforced.
