Due to track renewal and maintenance to be carried out in Mohanur and Namakkal railway yards, changes have been made in a pair of train services to facilitate the works.
Train no. 16811 Mayiladuthurai-Salem Express, scheduled to leave Mayiladuthurai Junction at 6.15 a.m., will be short-terminated at Karur railway station on July 22, 24, 26, 28, 31 and August 2, 2026. The train will only run from Mayiladuthurai Junction to Karur and will not run from Karur to Salem Junction on those days.
Train no. 16812 Salem-Mayiladuthurai Express, scheduled to leave Salem Junction at 2.05 p.m., will instead originate from Karur Junction at 3.40 p.m. on July 22, 24, 26, 28, 31 and August 2, 2026. The train will not run from Salem Junction to Karur Junction, and it will leave from Karur Junction and run up to Mayiladuthurai Junction on those days.
