A trainee IPS officer has been booked by the Attapur police following a complaint by a fellow woman trainee officer alleging sexual harassment, assault and criminal intimidation at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Shivarampally.

The accused has been identified as Uday Krishna Reddy, sources from the police confirmed.

According to the complaint, the alleged harassment began in late June and continued for several weeks. The woman alleged that Reddy sent her sexually abusive messages and made derogatory remarks about her in front of fellow trainees.

The woman further accused Reddy of physically and sexually assaulting her. She also alleged that he recorded a private video without her consent and sent it to her husband in an attempt to blackmail her.

She also claimed that the accused spread false and derogatory information about her to damage her reputation. Based on the complaint, the Attapur police registered a case and launched an investigation.
