Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Patrick Paul didn’t hold back when sharing his thoughts on former teammate Tua Tagovailoa following his move to the Atlanta Falcons. The Dolphins moved on from the quarterback after six years following an underwhelming season in 2025.

While appearing on “The Set with Terron Armstead” on Friday, Paul expressed enduring affection and support for Tagovailoa as he continues his NFL journey in Atlanta. The lineman went further to predict a strong bounce for the quarterback in his environment in the upcoming season.

Patrick Paul’s comments reflect the close bond many Dolphins players shared with Tua Tagovailoa during his tenure in Miami. The quarterback led the team through highs and lows in his time at the franchise despite his injury concerns and inconsistent offensive line play.

Tua Tagovailoa appears to have settled in well in Atlanta, placing on the route to bounce back next season as Patrick Paul predicted. He has significantly impressed Falcons coach Kevin Stefanski, who had a lot of positive things to say about him during the minicamp in June.

Tua Tagovailoa is believed to be leading the race for the starting job, ahead of Michael Penix Jr., who’s yet to fully recover from the injury he suffered last season. Without a doubt, that’s an opportunity for the one-time Pro Bowler to re-establish himself in the league.
