Two Bangladesh citizens, identified as M.D. Sohan and M.D. Nadeen Hossain, were sentenced to two years in jail under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act for staying without proper documents in Palladam police station limits in Tiruppur. Second Additional District and Sessions Judge R. Kanagaraj also imposed on them a fine of ₹10,000 each.
