Two brothers were killed by their relatives during an argument that turned violent, in Nugganatti village in Yaragati taluk of Belagavi district in Karnataka, on July 17.

The victims are Lagamappa Ramannavar (32) and Basappa Ramannavar (38).

An argument broke out while family members were airing their differences. When the argument got heated, some people grabbed deadly weapons and attacked the brothers. Lagamappa and Basappa died on the spot due to severe bleeding.

Senior police officers and personnel from Murgod police station rushed to the spot.

A case has been registered.
