Two persons were killed in a road accident on Tuesday night after a motorcycle rammed into a stationary truck in Natham in Dindigul district.

The police said Chithirai Vel, the motorcycle rider, was on his way to Natham. The truck was transporting firewood from Sivaganga and was Coimbatore bound. Due to tyre puncture, the truck was parked on the roadside near Samuthirapatti.

Ponnu Kaalai was fixing the puncture. Chithirai Vel rammed into Ponnu Kaalai and the truck. Chithirai Vel died on the spot while Ponnu Kaalai succumbed to injuries. Natham police have registered a case and are investigating.
