For context, at UFC Freedom 250, Pereira's dream of becoming the first fighter to win UFC titles in three weight classes came undone after he suffered a second-round knockout loss to Ciryl Gane.
Following the defeat, 'Poatan' claimed Gane landed multiple back-of-the-head punches during the finishing sequence, preventing him from recovering. The legendary Brazilian also criticized referee Herb Dean for failing to address the alleged fouls.
Conor McGregor agrees with Pereira's grievance; however, he recommends that the fighter let it go and march on. McGregor said:

The bout will mark McGregor's first octagon appearance since suffering a gruesome leg break against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021.
