Star batter Virat Kohli played another solid knock in the third ODI against England at Lord's. England won the game and sealed the three-match series 2-1.

    Batting first, the hosts posted an enormous total of 387/3. In pursuit, India got close, but fell short by 27 runs, ending at 360/7. While Rohit Sharma scored a sensational hundred, Virat Kohli carried his brilliant form with yet another half-century.

    Unfortunately, he lacked support from the other end once Rohit was dismissed and soon perished. Kohli scored 74 runs off 60 balls at a strike rate of 123.33. His innings was laced with four boundaries and three maximums. Despite his efforts, India could not get over the line.

    However, fans hailed Kohli for his half-century that kept the visitors in the hunt.

    He added to his tally in England as well. In ODIs in England, he has 1493 runs from 36 matches at an average of 51.48 with one hundred and 14 half-centuries. 74 was also his highest individual score in an ODI at Lord's.

    He ended the three-match series with 144 runs at an average of 48.00 and a strike rate of 109.09 to go with the two half-centuries.
