The Visakhapatnam district administration has completed the digitisation of enumeration forms of all 20,23,009 electors as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026, and the draft electoral roll will be published on July 31, District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore has said.

In a statement, the Collector said the distribution, collection and digitisation of enumeration forms had been completed for voters across 1,980 polling stations in the district. The database had been updated after incorporating details of voters who had submitted enumeration forms, as well as those categorised as absent, shifted, deceased or duplicate (ASDD). Officials also carried out a fresh field verification of voters who had initially been placed in the ASDD category after enumeration forms were not received by July 14, improving the quality of the electoral database.

Mr. Kishore said the number of “no mapping” cases had come down from 1,80,725 to 27,555, or 1.36% of the electorate, and logical discrepancies from 5,48,723 to 2,02,323, or about 10% of voters. The number of notices to be issued after publication of the draft roll had fallen from 7,29,448 to 2,29,878.

The Collector said the names of 2,40,209 voters in the ASDD category would not be included in the draft electoral roll. Electors have been advised to check their names and particulars after the draft roll is published. Claims for inclusion may be submitted through Form 6, and requests for corrections through Form 8, between July 31 and August 30. The final electoral roll will be published on October 3, 2026, after the disposal of claims and objections, he said. Voters may contact the Election Commission helpline at 1950 or 0891-2590100, or approach constituency and district-level help desks.
