Andreas Schjelderup scored a stunner to give Norway the lead over England in the FIFA World Cup 2026 quarterfinal in Miami on Sunday.

The leftwinger looked to whip a cross in from the left flank after the ball was stolen off Harry Kane but ended up curling it into the far corner beyond the reach of Jordan Pickford.

Despite the Three Lions dominating possession in the first quarter of the game, Norway provided the killer finish to take the lead as it looks to qualify for its first World Cup semifinal.

Norway’s lead only lasted for just over ten minutes as Jude Bellingham pulled things back for England with a smart finish following a powerful run into the box.

Harry Kane also had the ball in the back of the net in stoppage time but his goal was ruled out for offside.
