Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz joined fellow baseball icons Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez for the coverage of the 96th MLB All-Star Game at the FOX MLB studio.

Ahead of the All-Star Game in Philadelphia this week, the MLB crew was joined by former soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has been part of the Fox analyst panel for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ortiz had a hilarious exchange with the former Swedish striker and asked him who's the "king of the jungle" in soccer between this year's World Cup top scorers Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi.

Ibrahimovic dismissed the question hilariously, saying:

Mbappe leads France World Cup bid in this year's tournament and faces Spain in the semi final on Tuesday. Messi's Argentina take on England in the other semi final as they hope to defend their title.

When David Ortiz asked Zlatan Ibrahimovic about his former FC Barcelona teammate and Argentina captain Lionel Messi's performance, the former striker said he is on a "different level."

Messi's Argentina are vying to became the first team since Italy (1938) and Brazil (1962) to successfully defend the title. He defeated Mbappe's France in the final of the 2022 edition to win his first World Cup.
