The landscape of WWE changed once again as CM Punk dethroned Sami Zayn heading into The Biggest Party of the Summer in Minnesota. Later, a video surfaced online that shows what the new champion was up to following his title win in Chicago.

CM Punk made his long-awaited return to the Stamford-based promotion and won the Undisputed WWE Championship from Sami Zayn in his first title defense in Chicago. The Second City Saint is now an 8-time world champion in the company and headed towards The Biggest Party of the Summer in Minnesota for the two-night spectacle.

After the win in Chicago, a video surfaced online as Punk celebrated his win after the show ended. The new champion interacted with Alicia Taylor and celebrated his championship win with his family, who were in the front row. He also gave a nod to his wife, AJ Lee, as he was seen doing the traditional AJ Lee skipping ringside with the title.

The 8-time WWE World Champion is headed to SummerSlam in Minnesota, and he'll reportedly defend his title against Cody Rhodes.

Earlier this year, CM Punk lost the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 on Sunday to Roman Reigns in Las Vegas. After the event, Punk had one appearance on Monday Night RAW and went on hiatus from the weekly product, which raised a lot of questions.

Later, Dave Meltzer claimed that Punk and WWE had issues, stating it started at WrestleMania when he lost the title. However, the said issues weren't as big as some claimed them to be. Recently, a new report sheds light on Punk's reported issue with the company.

According to TRNBCKL, The Second City Saint reportedly never had an issue with the company when it came to losing the title to The Original Tribal Chief at WrestleMania 42, as that was always the plan. While no report provides details of Punk's issues with the company, it seems there aren't any following his recent return.

CM Punk will be transferred to Friday Night SmackDown and could start a storyline with Cody Rhodes for the championship in the coming weeks, heading into SummerSlam in Minnesota.
