Brexton Busch is happy with the progress he has made at Creek County. The 11-year-old son of late NASCAR champion Kyle Busch returned to racing on the dirt in Oklahoma after earning his first restricted micro sprint victory at Port City Raceway last week.

Brexton raced at Creek County Speedway and showed speed in micro sprints. He added two top 10 finishes and reflected on his results in a post on X, writing:

On July 17, Brexton won the Restricted Micro Sprint A-Main at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He started 14th and overcame an early incident to take the checkered flag. In victory lane, Brexton celebrated with Kyle Busch's signature bow.

He also received national attention after sports media star Pat McAfee congratulated him on his emotional first race victory since the death of his father, who died suddenly on May 21 at the age of 41, one day after being hospitalized with a severe illness. Busch's family later confirmed that the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion suffered from severe pneumonia that progressed into sepsis.

Brexton Busch was involved in a crash at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Tuesday, July 21, exactly two months after the death of his father and racing legend Kyle Busch.

He was caught in a multi-car crash while racing in the Summer Shootout Young Lions feature. His car hit the one in front of him, which triggered a chain-reaction accident that left his vehicle struck several times on the quarter-mile oval.

Track workers helped Brexton out of the car after the hard impact. He escaped without any serious injuries. His mother, Samantha Busch, shared an update the next day and revealed that Brexton wanted to get back behind the wheel on the dirt track that same night, even after she suggested he take the day off to recover.
