Fisheries Minister A. Srinath and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister P. Mathan Raja distributed welfare assistance worth ₹2.70 crore at an event held at the District Collectorate here on Sunday.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Mathan Raja said that welfare assistance worth ₹2.70 crore had been distributed to 567 beneficiaries. The Revenue and Disaster Management Department provided free pattas under the special regularisation scheme, the Minorities Welfare Department provided educational assistance, and the Dairy Development Department provided computers to cooperative societies, among several other welfare measures.
He further said that the schemes announced by the State Government woukd be consulted with the respective department officials, ensuring that the benefits reached the people.
At the event, beneficiaries were provided with free pattas, wheel chairs, elbow crutches, sewing machines and other assistance.
Collector Vishu Mahajan, District Revenue Officer M. Guruchandran and other officials were present.
