On Wednesday, July 22, the Jeju Western Police Station reported that actor Pyo Ji-hoon met with an accident on the island over the weekend. Per the department, the Block B star was crossing a road in Geumneung-ri, Jeju City, on foot on Sunday (July 19) when he was hit by a car.

Another health update from the department revealed that the actor did not incur any fatal injuries from the accident and suffered only minor abrasions on his elbow and knee. He was taken to a nearby medical facility immediately, where healthcare experts declared that there was no serious injury.

After the news surfaced online, many netizens sent him well wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery on X.

Meanwhile, Jeju police officers told Chosun Biz that they had managed to get hold of the driver who hit Ji-hoon and determined that he wasn't under the influence of alcohol. There weren't any signs of a traffic signal violation either. Law enforcement is currently working to uncover the exact cause of the crash.

The actor is believed to have been on a vacation in Jeju.

The news of Pyo Ji-hoon's accident comes a month after he spoke to reporters in a Seoul cafe last month, after Netflix's Teach You a Lesson became a breakout hit. While the singer-actor stays away from social media, he was still well aware of the show's success, mostly from his close friends.

Ji-hoon revealed that one of them was his Block B bandmate, Zico, saying:

Ji-hoon also shared updates on his music career with the reporters, confessing that the band members were discussing a comeback in 2027, following a nearly ten-year-long break. He said:

For the unversed, Block B is a seven-member K-pop boy band formed back in 2011. Represented by KQ Entertainment, the band consisted of Pyo Ji-hoon (whose professional name is P.O.), U-Kwon, Zico, Jaehyo, Taeil, B-Bomb, and Park Kyung.
