England looka set to earn a commanding win over France in its FIFA World Cup 2026 third-place playoff game taking place in Miami on Saturday.

The Three Lions are leading 4-0 heading into the half-time break against the 2018 champion putting them on track to break the record for their biggest win.

Declan Rice scored the opener for the side just three minutes into the game following a turnover of possession in midfield. The half went from bad to worse for France as Ezri Konsa and Bukayo Saka (who scored twice) took the lead to four.

England’s biggest win in the tournament came during the 2018 edition when it thrashed Panama 6-1 thanks to a Harry Kane hat-trick.

The second biggest win was a 4-2 victory over West Germany in the final of the 1966, which remains England’s only World Cup triumph to date.

Thomas Tuchel’s side looks set to achieve at least its second biggest victory today unless France manage to mount a strong comeback.
