The FIFA World Cup 2026 quarterfinal between Norway and England ended 1-1 after the second half forcing extra time and possibly a penalty shootout to decide the winner in Miami on Saturday.
Andreas Schjelderup gave the Scandinavian side the lead in the 36th minute with a cross-turned-shot that went in off the far post, but Jude Bellingham equalised just ten minutes later.
The two sides could not add to their goal tally in the second half, meaning an extra 30 minutes and a shootout might be needed.
Norway will hope its goalkeeper Orjan Nyland can recreate his heroics against Brazil where he saved a penalty from Bruno Guimaraes.
The 35-year-old has saved eight of the 44 penalties he has faced in his career, including the one in the round of 16. He had also saved from the spot against Marko Arnautovic in the UEFA Nations League in 2024, but Norway went onto lose that game 1-5.
