Bryce Eldridge's girlfriend, Alana Castaneda, was a multi-sport athlete before her collegiate studies and healthcare career. She was a gymnast and also played volleyball and soccer.
Castaneda played two seasons of varsity volleyball at Woodinville High School. She was the starting player during the 2019 and 2019 seasons, repping the No. 18 jersey.
Castenada's performance at the high school level was complemented by six seasons of competitive club volleyball.She competed with SIVBC from 2017 to 2020 after beginning her club career with Bothell Volleyball Club in 2015 and 2016.
Castena competed at the USA Junior National Championship, Emerald City Classic, Far Western National Qualifier, and Pacific Northwest Qualifier, and SCVA Las Vegas Classic. Greg Brown and Teron Uly were her coaches throughout her club career. Meanwhile, Tom Murphy served as the club director.
Castaneda played club soccer for three years with Crossfire Premier Academy in the Seattle area. She played primarily as a defender. Her sister, Alise, also played for the club. She was a forward and an outside midfielder.
