Belgium drew level in the FIFA World Cup 2026 quarterfinal against Spain in Los Angeles on Friday, thanks to a goal from Charles de Ketelaere.
The forward found himself at the end of Timothy Castagne cross to head the Belgian Red Devils level after Fabian Ruiz had given Spain the lead.
The 25-year-old striker and attacking midfielder currently plays for Atalanta in Serie A and has scored 10 goals in 64 appearances for the side since his move from AC Milan in 2024.
He had moved to Milan as a 19-year-old after breaking through at Club Brugge where he scored 19 goals in 90 appearances.
De Ketelaere has been capped 35 times by Belgium and has scored nine goals, including two in the round of 16 victory over co-host USA.
He scored two goals and provided three assists in Belgium’s qualification campaign for the 2026 edition.
