New Delhi: Independent rapper Santy Sharma has announced a press conference in Mumbai on August 1 to address the controversy over his remarks on the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). His announcement comes after his YouTube channel was permanently deleted.

    The press conference title ‘August Kranti’ will focus on evidence and facts related to the controversy. He said in a statement, “To those supporting CJP, I only ask you to wait. Once the inside story and evidence are revealed, everything will become clear.”

    He also urged people not to have opinions before hearing his side of the story and said he would address receiving numerous messages during the press meet.

    In a post on Instagram, he wrote, “Over the past few days, I have received immense love, support, and countless questions through Instagram. Thank you to everyone who reached out. I will answer all your questions during my Press Conference in Mumbai on August 1, 2026. August will mark the beginning of ‘August Kranti'”.

    “During the press conference, I will discuss the truth behind CJP, Several other important issues, every statement backed by facts and evidence. To those supporting CJP, I only ask you to wait. Once the inside story and evidence are revealed, everything will become clear,” he added.

    He concluded by saying, “While genuine NEET students in Kota are celebrating their success, some people are allegedly using students as a cover to push their own political agenda. I will also address this in details.”

    Born Ganesh Sharma in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam, Santy Sharma made his debut as an independent rapper with ‘Suni Suni Sadko’. He gained popularity with his songs, including ‘Udaan ‘, ‘ Koshish’ Meri’, ‘Mujhe Pyaar Kar’, ‘Peeta Daaru’, ‘The Valentine Song’, ‘Black Heart’, and ‘Gangsta’. He made his Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5.

    Rapper Santy Sharma’s YouTube channel was permanently deleted. Announcing the same, Santy Sharma wrote on Instagram, “For an artist, their work is their soul. My YouTube channel wasn’t just a platform – it was 11 years of dreams, struggles, memories, and countless hours of hard work. YouTube has confirmed that the channel has been permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.”

    He further added, “After my statement regarding the CJP, I received a wave of hateful messages, and I believe my channel has become a victim of that politics. They may have taken away my channel, but they cannot take away my voice, my passion, or my determination to create again. Thank you to everyone who continues to stand by me.”

    Santy Sharma called the Cockroach Janta Party protest “just internet drama”. He said, “No political party is perfect, including the BJP, and criticism is part of democracy. But creating unnecessary instability, outrage culture, and online propaganda is not the solution for India’s growth.”
