The FIFA World Cup 2026 final is set with defending champion Argentina set to take on Spain at the New York/New Jersey Stadium on Sunday.
Lionel Messi-led Argentina came back from a goal down to beat England while Spain dominated France to book its spot in the summit clash.
To commemorate the semifinals, third-place match and the final, FIFA unveiled a special match ball, which is a modified version of the ‘Trionda’, which was used during the course of the tournament.
The first version of the ball featured three different colours, red, green and blue, with a white base, which is also a tribute to the three host nations and their national team colours- green for Mexico, red for Canada, and blue for the United States.
A closer look at the design also revealed three icons, a maple leaf for Canada, an eagle for Mexico and a star for the United States.
Meanwhile the ‘Trionda Final’ ball has a premium gold finish which references the World Cup trophy, set against a black base. Moreover, the ball also celebrates the 16 host cities with Dallas, Atlanta, Miami and New York/New Jersey featureing prominnently as they hosted the semifinals, third-place match and the final.
Meanwhile, Boston, Guadalajara, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Monterrey, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver are incorporated within the triangular graphic elements.
The ball also has the latest evolution of the Connected Ball Technology, which provides precise ball data in real time to support faster decision-making by match officials, while enhancing insights into the game.
