In a tragic incident, a 32-year-old woman sarpanch ended her life at Borigaon village in Tanur mandal of Nirmal district on Monday.

According to the police, she was found hanging at her residence on Monday morning. She is survived by husband, a four-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son.

The reason behind the alleged suicide is yet to be ascertained. Police have registered a case and are probing all possible angles, including financial problems, if any.

The incident comes barely three months after the alleged suicide of Musaipet village sarpanch in the same district, reportedly due to family disputes.
