WWE failed two of their biggest babyfaces on the RAW before SummerSlam 2026 as a single segment led to fans turning on them, or even worse yet, being indifferent about them.
We are talking about the Joe Hendry-Danhausen concert that was advertised for the RAW before SummerSlam. Danhausen is set to have his biggest match yet as he faces Dominik Mysterio at SummerSlam 2026. To many fans, this was already a huge downgrade for Dominik Mysterio, who only last year, faced AJ Styles at SummerSlam. The trajectory for "Dirty" Dom seems to have changed significantly this year despite the fact that he is the AAA Mega Champion. Either way, the concert was met with a mild response, to say the least, and this was before the actual segment. When the actual segment happened, it was far worse than people may have imagined.
Joe Hendry and Danhausen, who are two beloved babyfaces in WWE, started singing, "I believe that...you are cursed", which was targeted at The Judgment Day. It was so incredibly off that the crowd was completely indifferent to it, which is arguably worse than booing. It's the worst kind of way fans can turn on a superstar, but that's exactly what happened on the RAW before SummerSlam 2026.
Ultimately, boxer Ryan Garcia, who joined the celebrations, turned on Joe Hendry and Danhausen, and Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh also came out to finish the attack and stand tall before SummerSlam 2026. Usually (but not always), a superstar standing tall against his opponent before a premium live event (PLE) is a sign that they will lose.
This means that it's entirely possible that Dominik Mysterio loses at WWE SummerSlam 2026, which will certainly be quite a hit on his already-damaged momentum. Danhausen's attempted curse on Ryan Garcia was also a failure in the end.
