A WWE Hall of Famer wants CM Punk to make a major character change. The Second City Saint returned this past Monday night on WWE RAW after going on hiatus following his loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42.

Speaking on Something to Wrestle, JBL revealed that he wanted CM Punk to turn heel. The legend shared that he liked Punk as a babyface, but preferred him as a heel. JBL also added that he disliked babyfaces in general.

Cody Rhodes was supposed to battle Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship on RAW. However, Gunther attacked The American Nightmare before the match, and Punk replaced him. The 47-year-old defeated Zayn after connecting with a GTS.

Rhodes confronted Punk this past Friday night on SmackDown, and it was announced that the two stars would be squaring off at SummerSlam 2026 next month.

Wrestling veteran Finn Balor recently praised CM Punk and revealed what it was like to work with him.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the INSIGHT podcast, Balor noted that he had heard horror stories about the former AEW star, but he was a pleasure to work with.

It will be interesting to see if Rhodes can defeat Punk at SummerSlam 2026.
