An up-and-coming WWE superstar posted a social media throwback to her final AEW bout against Toni Storm recently. The talent in question, Blake Monroe (fka Mariah May), made her debut on Friday Night Smackdown last month.
At the beginning of 2025, The Glamor was still going strong as the reigning and defending AEW Women's World Champion, a belt she had captured from Toni Storm, her former mentor whom she had betrayed and later unseated for the title at All In: London in 2024. The "Timeless" superstar returned later in December at Dynamite: Winter is Coming as an amnesiac iteration of her former "Rockstar" persona, although she would later reveal this to be an act meant to trick her once-protege into underestimating her and lowering her defenses.
After defending her AEW Women's Title against Thunder Rosa at Worlds End 2024, Mariah May put her strap on the line against Toni Storm at Grand Slam Australia 2025, where she lost the belt to her arch-rival. In the ultimate culmination of their feud, the "Woman from H*ll" challenged Toni for the Women's World Championship in a brutal No Disqualification match at Revolution 2025, dubbed the "Hollywood Ending". This would turn out to be Mariah's final match in All Elite Wrestling, where she lost to Storm after a bloody war.
After parting ways with the Jacksonville-based promotion in May of 2025, May crossed over to WWE, debuting on the company's developmental brand NXT in June. Almost a year later, Mariah, now known as Blake Monroe, has been called up to the main roster on Friday Night Smackdown. It seems like the Englishwoman has not forgotten about her rivalry with "Timeless" Toni Storm, however, as she shared a graphic referencing their "Hollywood Ending" showdown on her Instagram story some time earlier.
Blake Monroe made her WWE Smackdown debut this past May, crossing paths with Chelsea Green backstage. On the June 26 edition of the show, she attacked Giulia following her win over Kiana James. The Glamour got the upper hand on both women in another backstage skirmish a week later. This past Friday, the former NXT Women's North American Champion brutally introduced herself to Candice LeRae by blindsiding the veteran, continuing to run roughshod over the women's division.
It remains to be seen what lies next for the former AEW star on WWE's Blue Brand.
