A four-member team of district administration officials inspected marriage palaces, hotels, dhabas and party halls operating in areas under the Vyaspur sub-division of the district.

The inspection team comprised Naib Tehsildar Vyaspur Ravinder Kumar, SHO Vyaspur Vinod Kumar, Block Development and Panchayat Officer Shyam Lal Sharma, and the SDO of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam. The officials examined records relating to basic facilities and the mandatory permissions required for the establishments.

Naib Tehsildar Ravinder Kumar said the inspection drive was conducted on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Preeti under the guidance of Vyaspur SDM Kuldeep Singh.

According to officials, the team inspected seven establishments, including marriage palaces and party halls, in the sub-division.

“The team verified details of the owners, seating capacity and permissions obtained from various departments, including the civic body, the District Town Planner and the Fire and Emergency Services Department. Parking arrangements and the functioning of CCTV cameras were also inspected,” Ravinder Kumar said.

He said all operators were directed to ensure full compliance with the prescribed safety standards and government regulations. “Establishments that do not have the required permissions or have yet to complete safety formalities were instructed to do so at the earliest,” he said.

Ravinder Kumar added that the team advised operators to maintain adequate security arrangements to deal with fire and other emergencies during marriage functions.

“The safety of the general public is our top priority. Marriage palaces, hotels and party halls will continue to be inspected from time to time,” he said.
