ESPN fired analyst Ryan Clark on Monday. However, on Friday, Clark on "The Pivot Podcast" appeared to suggest that his infamous segment about late LSU wideout Kyren Lacy led to his exit from the network. He also pointed out how OutKick shared the apologies from other ESPN analysts who made statements about Lacy, but didn't cover his.

When OutKick analyst Bobby Burack caught wind of Clark's remarks, he slammed the former ESPN personality.

In an earlier tweet, Burack also shared a screenshot of OutKick covering Clark's apology.

Lacy died by suicide on April 12, 2025, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound following a vehicle pursuit in Texas. The LSU receiver died two days before a scheduled grand jury hearing regarding charges of negligent homicide, reckless operation, and felony hit-and-run.

Ryan Clark joined ESPN as a studio analyst in February 2015, after retiring from the NFL. He worked with the network for 11 years until his firing on Monday.

During his time at ESPN, Clark worked on several programs, including NFL Live, Get Up, First Take, and Monday Night Countdown. He also won a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Personality/Studio Analyst in 2023.
