Telangana Youth Congress president Jakkidi Shiva Charan Reddy has been served a show-cause notice by the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) over his alleged use of abusive and derogatory remarks against a senior woman Congress leader and the party leadership. Mr. Charan Reddy, son of senior Congress leader Jakkidi Prabhakar Reddy, was appointed as the president of the Telangana Pradesh Youth Congress on December 25, 2025.
In the notice issued by IYC president Uday Bhanu Chib, the organisation alleged that Mr. Charan Reddy had used abusive language against a senior woman leader of the Indian National Congress. It also accused him of making derogatory statements against various communities and using objectionable words against the Congress leadership.
The IYC directed him to submit a written explanation within two days, failing which disciplinary action could be initiated in accordance with the organisation’s rules. However, Mr. Charan Reddy on Tuesday (July 14, 2026) denied making any derogatory remarks against any leader and said he had no intention of insulting anyone or any community. He added that if his words had inadvertently hurt anyone’s sentiments, he regretted it and apologised.
