A 23-year-old electrician was allegedly robbed by a group of unidentified men near the Doddanekkundi railway underpass in east Bengaluru on Saturday.

    According to the complaint filed by Deepak Kumar, 23, an electrician working at the Bagmane Tech Park, the incident occurred when he was returning home from work in a bicycle on July 25 around 7.10 p.m.

    A group of four to five unidentified men intercepted him, forcibly snatched his bicycle and ₹2,500 in cash, and also used his mobile phone to transfer ₹200 through a UPI payment gateway from his account before fleeing the spot.

    The victim immediately alerted the police by calling the 112 Emergency Response Support System helpline. He later approached the HAL Police Station and lodged a formal complaint.

    Based on the complaint, the police have registered an FIR and launched an investigation to identify and trace the accused. The police are examining CCTV footage and other electronic evidence to track down the suspects.
